Higley served as Construction Manager at Risk for the multi-phased $1 Million,1,700 SF interior renovation within an existing emergency department to create a new Behavioral Health Suite. The three phase project  with Level 5 Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) meticulously implemented to enable seamless progress while Emergency Department operations continued uninterrupted.

The newly created space is designed to cater to emergency patients seeking behavioral healthcare. Architectural and MEP upgrades were included to create a new patient restroom, two convertible exam rooms, secure holding rooms, new nurse’s station, and patient use area. All rooms meet stringent anti-ligature standards, ensuring a secure and safe environment for behavioral health patients during their treatment. Thorough coordination and collaboration took place with hospital staff to guarantee that all patient needs were not only met but exceeded in this innovative Behavioral Health Suite.
